Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Asset Manager, performs purchasing roles and maintaining inventory of clothing, PPE, & supplies for the Regina Police Service.
1. Performs purchasing, inventory management within the Service.
2. Maintains and updates Asset and Purchasing Databases.
3. Organizes and maintains a structured filing system for purchasing and assets and summarizes data for monthly and annual reporting.
4. Recommend annual operating and capital budgets and monitor expenditures for the program area.
5. Liase with vendors, members of the Regina Police Service, and other agencies.
6. Issues, monitors, and closes purchase orders.
7. Assists in receiving, handling, issuing and record keeping of special issue items to the members of the Regina Police Service.
8. Maintain the order of stored inventory and ensures equipment is properly secured and stored in good order.
9. Maintains record of inventory and issues articles upon authorization, and check incoming supplies for shortages and damages.
10. Measure, order, receive and distribute clothing, PPE, consumables and regalia to employees of the Regina Police Service.
11. Other related duties as assigned.
Competencies
1. Complete Grade 12 or Grade 12 equivalent. With minimum typing speed of 50 w.p.m. Procurement related experience would be considered an asset.
2. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of computerized information systems.
3. Knowledge of databases, and inventory management systems is considered an asset.
4. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and manage an office environment.
5. Ability to establish and maintain effective and efficient relationships with employees and vendors of the Regina Police Service.
6. Professional business telephone etiquette.
